Our appraisal department operates as Newlin-Johnson Co., Inc.  The appraisal team at Newlin-Johnson is comprised of certified general and certified residential appraisers that are licensed in Indiana and Illinois.  One of our appraisers is MAI designated by the Appraisal Institute.  The team at Newlin-Johnson has many years of experience in appraising all types of real estate and is very proud to provide reliable reports in a timely and cost effective manner.

Meet Our Appraisers

Greg Phegley

Mr. Phegley is licensed as a Certified General Appraiser in the states of Indiana and Illinois.  He graduated from Indiana State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, and has worked at Newlin-Johnson Co., Inc. since 1989.  In 2001, he obtained the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute.  His hobbies include running, biking, swimming, traveling, and spending time with his 3 dogs.

Chip Miller

Mr. Miller is a graduate of Indiana State University with a degree in Business Administration.  Miller was a partner in the firm of Miller-Sargent-Miller, which merged with Newlin-Johnson in 1990.  Miller has served as president of the Terre Haute Association of Realtors.  In 1997 Miller was named the Indiana Association Realtor's Realtor of the Year.  Miller is a licensed Real Estate Broker and Indiana Certified Real Estate Appraiser.

Larry Hos

Mr. Hos served with the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam.  He attended Indiana State University and joined Newlin-Johnson Company in 1982.  Mr Hos is a Certified Residential, FHA certified, & Fannie Mae approved appraiser in Indiana and Illinois.  He also holds an Indiana real estate broker license.  Mr. Hos is a member of the National Association of Realtors and National Association of Real Estate Appraisers.  Mr. Hos lives in Terre Haute and is married to Sandra Hos.

Eric Miller

Mr. Miller graduated from Indiana State University with a degree in Business Administration.  He is an Indiana Certified Residential and FHA appraiser.  Mr. Miller is also an Indiana Licensed Real Estate Broker.  In his spare time, he coaches baseball and loves spending time with his wife and 4 kids.
